Social Networking
Oh boy, where to start.
The first Social Networking site I ever used (knowingly) was LinkedIn.
My LinkedIn network is getting pretty big these days. (I just
checked... 1224 people in my Network. Thats waay bigger than I thought.
WHO ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE?)
LinkedIn has been quite useful so far. Thats how the Google Monster
managed to get in contact with me to invite me for an interview.
Here's an Interesting post on using LinkedIn Productively
Then there's Stumbleupon. I installed the little Firefox button to keep me amused with random websites, but its turned into alot more than that lately. Its a nice way of sending URL's to your friends, and recommending websites that may interest people that you know.
Last.fm is an interesting one if you're a Music fan. Listen to Internet Radio stations, and share your music interests with the rest of the world. It's a nice way to explore new music.
Facebook is the "social buzzword" lately. Every one of my friends in South Africa has asked me lately if I'm "on facebook". Its scary how fast this one is spreading... Needless to say, peer pressure caused me to sign up. And its been a lovely productivity black-hole for the last few days. (thanks guys)
Now that I think about it, I probably use a few other social networking sites, and I dont even realise it.
